PARK CITY — Utah-based Kodiak had been selling its packaged, whole wheat pancake mix for years, even winning some shelf space in Target. While it was well-received, the company struggled to find real financial success.
That all changed in April 2014. Following an appearance on “Shark Tank,” sales began to take off. Then, two months later, the company launched a mix with 14 grams of protein. Sales skyrocketed.
