BOUNTIFUL, Utah (ABC4) — Thirty-three members of a Utah family returned safely home Wednesday after being stuck in Tel Aviv during Iranian missile strikes in the country. The family’s trip was decades in the making and dedicated to the family’s late matriarch.
The Ivins spent a day and a half sheltering in place and traveling across the country before making it to Egypt, and eventually home.
“Come snuggle?” Lindsay Ivins asked as she sat down on a couch next to two of her sisters and father. The Bountiful home was full of love as the family reflected on a trip to Israel that ended unexpectedly.
“We felt her hand and it was such a privilege that we got to go on the trip,” Tanya Ivins Whitney said referring to her late mother. “And then to feel her with us and then have her help getting us home was a real, we were very mindful of her.”…
