Evansville mother charged after toddler found dead in ‘unsafe’ bedding in 2025

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — An Evansville woman faces a felony neglect charge after her 15-month-old son died from suffocation in what investigators described as a bedroom filled with hazardous bedding and “extremely messy” conditions.

25-year-old Amirah Moodie is charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death following an investigation into the Nov. 14, 2025, death of Isais Pascual-Hernandez.
