Luckily for him, two US Navy sailors currently stationed at NAS Pensacola were right near the Southwest Greenway boardwalk when it happened around 9 p.m.

“I was hungry, made my shipmate, Airman Arguello, drive me to get some Popeyes. And while we were waiting at a red light on US 98 and Navy Boulevard, I saw a white car just zoom right in front of us,” NAS Pensacola Airman Skyluv Rios said.
That driver then collided with the concrete pillar, crashed through the boardwalk, and dove nose-first into the water…
