Court declares Ricky Lam case capital in Davidson County; prosecutors can seek death penalty

HIGH POINT, N.C. — On Thursday, a court officially designated Ricky Lam’s murder case in Davidson County as a capital case, meaning prosecutors could seek the death penalty, according to court records.

Lam, 31, faces first-degree murder charges in both Davidson and Guilford counties.
