Evansville woman arrested after high-speed chase in stolen vehicle Wednesday morning

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A woman is behind bars after leading deputies on a high-speed chase through Evansville in a vehicle reported stolen out of Knox County early Wednesday morning.

19-year-old Autumn Maxwell was arrested and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on multiple charges, including resisting law enforcement creating a substantial risk of injury, auto theft, and reckless driving.

The incident began around 1:25 a.m. when the Knox County Sheriff’s Office notified Vanderburgh County deputies that a Dodge Challenger had been stolen in Vincennes and was traveling south on U.S. 41 toward Evansville…
