Two men killed in head-on collision, Evansville man arrested

EVANSVILLE — An Evansville man has been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and causing the deaths of two men and the injury of another in a head-on collision.

Lindsey Baxter, 29, faces two counts of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated causing Death, a Level 4 Felony, and one count of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated causing Serious Bodily Injury, a Level 5 Felony.

According to an Indiana State Police report, just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday Baxter was driving westbound on State Road 66 east of CR 400 West near Reo, In., in a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck “when for unknown reasons (he) drove left of center and collided into a 2014 Toyota Corolla that was traveling eastbound.”…
