The New Eastside Market opened with much fanfare in February of 2019, a project that literally took years to bring to life and a spot billed as an oasis in an eastside food desert. But six years after its opening, the City of Cleveland announced it will be closing.
“The market is closing, the city will not be renewing its contract with NEON Health Systems,” Cleveland City Councilman Kevin Conwell told News 5, saying he’s been told that will happen next week, March 31.
