AUSTIN, Texas — All southbound lanes of U.S. 183 from Great Hills Trail to the MoPac Expressway have reopened after a deadly crash between a motorcycle and a car around 6:50 a.m. Sunday morning.
Traffic was backed up as far as Braker Lane as emergency services responded to the scene. Drivers were being diverted to the frontage road at the Loop 360/Capital of Texas Highway exit. As of 12:35 p.m. on Sunday, all lanes were reopened.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, an adult victim was pronounced dead on the scene. APD later said the man who died was a motorcyclist and has not been identified at this time. Two other adults were evaluated for injuries but were not taken to the hospital…
