💧 Phase III Water Shortage Order in Effect April 3–July 1

The Southwest Florida Water Management District has put a Modified Phase III Water Shortage Order in place from April 3 through July 1, 2026 to help conserve water in The Villages. This applies to homes and businesses in Sumter, Marion, and Lake counties.

Key rules:

  • Irrigation: Once per week on your assigned day (based on your address). Water only 12:01–4 a.m. or 8–11:59 p.m.
  • Hand watering: Allowed any day before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m.
  • Car washing: Once per week on your watering day, using a hose with a shut-off nozzle.
  • Decorative fountains: Up to 4 hours per day.
  • Pressure washing: Only for necessary cleaning (like mold removal or prep for painting).

Your watering day depends on your address’s last digit (0–1 Monday, 2–3 Tuesday, 4–5 Wednesday, 6–7 Thursday, 8–9 Friday). Common areas may water on Friday…
