Third dog involved in Plymouth Township jogger attack dies after capture

PLYMOUTH TWP. — The third dog involved in a violent weekend attack on a jogger was located and captured Tuesday morning before later dying from its injuries, police said.

The brown-and-white pit bull was found shortly before 7 a.m. March 31 after a resident spotted it near Fairground Park in the city of Plymouth, according to Plymouth Township Police Department Chief James Knittel.

Officers from both Plymouth Township and the city of Plymouth responded and eventually cornered the dog in the parking lot of a gas station along Ann Arbor Road near Main Street…
