Charges for bounty hunters seen pointing weapons in downtown Minneapolis

Two bounty hunters who were videoed by bystanders in downtown Minneapolis in early March have been charged with threats of violence after brandishing pepper ball guns at civilians.

Garrett Willis, 28, and James Willis, 54, both of Ardmore, Oklahoma, have each been charged with two counts of threats of violence outside the Hennepin County Jail on March 3.

The pair were parked in a van and had just “delivered” a suspect to the jail when the van was surrounded by civilians recording their actions, which came at a time of heightened fears of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity in the Twin Cities…
