Savannah Emerges as Top Port as Cargo Shifts to East Coast

Cargo isn’t slowing down at U.S. ports, but it is moving to different places, according to a new report from Colliers.

Port activity in 2025 held steady at historically high levels after several years of disruption. Another shift is where that cargo is going. East and Gulf Coast ports are gaining share, while West Coast volumes are still larger but less predictable.
