NEW IBERIA, La (KLFY) — Police say a man arrested in connection with a deadly shooting on Field Street Monday also has a recent conviction tied to another homicide case in the city.
According to the New Iberia Police Department, 22-year-old Jasiah Deontae Lewis was arrested following a shooting Monday evening that left one person dead and two others injured. Authorities have not released many details about what led up to the incident, but say the investigation is ongoing.
