SEU to Host Community Night Focused on Screen Time and Children

On Tuesday, April 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. the Department of Social Work at Southeastern University (SEU) will host its annual community night focused on raising awareness of the impact of social media and internet exposure on children and youth. “Through the Looking Glass: Falling Down the Digital Rabbit Hole” is free and open to the public.

Organizers say the event will equip professionals, parents, and guardians with practical strategies to promote healthy screen use, prevent overexposure, and better protect children.

“Through this event, SEU aims to empower families and create meaningful, lasting impact in the lives of young people by making informed perspectives accessible and fostering a community of support,” the university said in a statement…
