WORCESTER — Worcester police say they are increasing staffing and coordinating with regional partners after learning of a social media post advertising a possible street takeover event planned for Saturday evening.
The Worcester Police Department said it became aware Friday, April 3rd, of a post promoting a street takeover scheduled for Saturday, April 4th, at 7 p.m. Officials said their primary concern is maintaining public safety as such events can draw large and unpredictable crowds.
