Suspect used pulley system in $30K copper theft at Esplanade Mall, police say

KENNER, La. — A man has been arrested in connection with what police describe as a large-scale copper theft operation at Esplanade Mall.

According to the Kenner Police Department, the investigation began on March 27 when a security officer found an exterior door open at the mall’s Macy’s building.
