The Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office formally filed charges against four people that authorities say were connected to a scheme to steal thousands of gallons of diesel fuel and hundreds of feet of copper wiring from pump stations on the West Bank.
The thefts, which occurred between Nov. 29 and Dec. 8, 2025, temporarily disabled some of the drainage pumps that provide flood protection for Woodmere and Pelican Bay neighborhoods in Harvey and Marrero, according to Jefferson Parish officials.
