COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Grand Jury has returned 125 counts in seven separate indictments alleging Keiron Murray committed nearly $1.4 million in auto loan scams in three counties in the state.
Murray allegedly used small auto sales dealerships in Richland, Sumter, and Colleton counties to obtain fraudulent loans from banks for vehicles that were never in the dealerships’ or the supposed purchasers’ possession, according to the “VINSanity” investigation.
