Struggling Cajuns hoping LSU challenge provides extra motivation

At first glance, it’s not the best time for the struggling UL softball team to play LSU.

After all, the Ragin’ Cajuns are coming off a humbling three-game road sweep at the hands of James Madison to fall to 22-21 overall and 5-10 in Sun Belt play.

But on second thought, if coach Alyson Habetz’s club is down and in need of some energy, what better way to get the Cajuns’ attention than to host the nationally ranked Tigers at Lamson Park? The game is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday…
