Longest April stretch of 90s since 1960 on the way for central North Carolina

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — It’s been exactly 200 days since Raleigh recorded its last high of 90 degrees or more, coming back on Sept. 25 of last year.

But we have several in store this week.

On average our first 90-degree day of the year comes on May 11. So, hitting 90 this week isn’t exceptionally rare, coming around a little more than a week later than 2025…
