Lissa and Walt’s wedding was a timeless affair in Point Clear. The ceremony and reception took place at The Grand Hotel, the same spot in which the groom had proposed. The December weather was a mild and sunny 65 degrees and the bridesmaids wore a festive mix of pink and red dresses in honor of Christmas being just five days after the celebration. Guests assembled on the lawn for the afternoon ceremony as the bride and groom’s five nieces acted as flower girls, tossing petals before the bride’s entrance. The couple said their vows under an ornate archway decorated with red and pink blooms.
Afterward, all processed into the ballroom adorned with pink candles, soft drapery and string lights amidst greenery. The couple passed out Christmas light necklaces, Santa hats and green ball caps embroidered with a red Santa hat as guests took to the dance floor. After hours of dancing, the couple exited through white streamers and Santa made a surprise appearance to drive the couple off on a golf cart, a “Meet Us At Bucky’s” sign in tow, inviting guests for a post toast at the iconic hotel bar to create even more memories from the happy weekend.
