New reflectors and striping help guide drivers day and night.
Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Baldwin County drivers may not always notice them, but painted lines and reflectors play a key role in keeping traffic moving safely. Over the past year, county crews have worked across hundreds of miles of roads to refresh these features. These updates are part of a broader effort to maintain roadway safety. Officials say the improvements help drivers stay aware of lanes and road edges.
The work was completed through Baldwin County’s roadway maintenance program over the past year, including projects finished in 2025. Crews focused on roads along the county’s 1,550 miles of county-maintained routes. The upgrades targeted areas where markings had faded or become harder to see.
In 2025 alone, Highway Department crews added 211 miles of yellow centerline striping and 192 miles of white edge line striping.
