Wisconsin taking a ‘game week’ approach to spring practice

MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin has fine-tuned its approach in Luke Fickell’s fourth spring with the program.

The Badgers are more meticulously managing contact, physicality and installation as they look to get the most out of 15 practices across March and April. It’s not a complete rework of Wisconsin’s process, but an adjustment that pushes more purposeful progression through the week.

UW completed a full cycle of practice that saw the intensity ramp up over the course of five days, culminating in the team’s liveliest atmosphere so far this spring on Saturday. And the Badgers are set to embark on another week of game-like preparation…
