Oregon softball’s Lyndsey Grein named Big Ten Pitcher of the Week

Oregon softball’s Lyndsey Grein took home the Big Ten Conference’s Pitcher of the Week honor for the third time in her career Monday.

Grein’s selection, her first of 2026, comes after she and the No. 15 Ducks (32-9, 13-2 Big Ten) swept Maryland (14-26, 1-17) in three games in College Park. Grein pitched to a decision and earned a win in all three games, helping extend Oregon’s winning streak to eight-straight.

The senior right-hander worked 15 innings in the circle for Oregon, punching out 25 batters and allowing just two runs. Maryland mustered only seven hits, two for extra-bases, against Grein and had just two walks…
