Gas station armed robbery in 2023 leads to charges against 2 Carlisle men

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Two men were charged Tuesday after investigators said they participated in an armed robbery at a Cumberland County gas station in 2023.

Mekhai McBride, 20, and Logan Fields, 18, both of Carlisle, face charges after an investigation into an Oct. 28, 2023, armed robbery at Carlisle Food Mart along Franklin Street in the Borough of Carlisle, according to court documents filed by police.

Police say McBride and another man entered the gas station after being driven there by Fields. McBride made his way behind the front counter, pulling out a firearm as the other man stood by the door acting as a lookout.

The clerk picked up a phone to call 911, but McBride ripped it out of their hands before he and the other man ran from the store, got back into the van, and drove away, according to the criminal complaint…
