MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Myrtle Beach officially kicked off its national search for a new police chief on Tuesday with an invitation for public input as an early part of the process.
The survey responses are anonymous, but city leaders say will play an important role as the replacement for Amy Prock begins.
Questions include:
- How effective is the department at communicating with the public?
- How important is it that the next chief is visible and accessible to the community?
- What type of experience should the next chief have?
- How important is it that the next chief of police has experience in a community with complex public safety demands?
