Houston radio host Roula chokes up as Camp Mystic tragedy haunts city again

A Houston radio host struggled to get through a segment Tuesday as a tragedy tied closely to the city took center stage again.

On The Roula and Eric Show on 104.1 KRBE, Roula Christie became emotional while talking about this week’s court hearings tied to the July 4, 2025 flood at Camp Mystic that killed 27 campers and counselors along the Guadalupe River.

The ongoing legal fight between camp owners and victims’ families has brought new testimony into focus, including from camp director Edward Eastland. He said staff did not see official warnings ahead of the storm, held no meetings about the threat and delayed evacuation as conditions worsened…
