JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Jackson Medical Mall Foundation (JMMF) announced it was awarded Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funding through the Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS).
Officials said they funds will provide youth development and workforce training services for Jackson and surrounding area residents. This will include expanding opportunities for youth and families through the Young Futurists Project and new Workforce Development initiatives.

“This partnership is an incredible opportunity to help families in the Jackson community thrive,” said Jessica Lewis, Workforce and Youth Program director. “By working with the Mississippi Department of Human Services, we can ensure that parents, caregivers, and our scholars have the support they need to achieve lasting success and economic mobility.”
Through the implementation of this grant, JMMF officials said they will be able to provide comprehensive educational support, job skills training and career placement services through their workforce program.
