Lane County charges filed after Linn County hidden-camera investigation

A 67-year-old Eugene man has been charged with three counts of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse after already facing charges from an investigation in Linn County last year over a hidden camera.

Timothy Lawrence O’Brien was charged Monday, April 13, in Lane County Circuit Court. Under state law, first-degree encouraging child sex abuse can involve distributing a visual recording of sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
