Some meals are planned out days in advance, and some happen because the day has pushed you to the point where only tacos will do. That was exactly the case for us this past Friday. After a very long work meeting, we needed a quick fix to shake off the stress, reset the mood, and do something simple that sounded guaranteed to make life better. Tacos felt like the obvious answer, and that answer took us to Tacos Los Barrios on South Rainbow.
We had actually heard about Tacos Los Barrios a while back from a friend who visited one of their other locations and came back with a pretty bold statement: he had found authentic tacos in Las Vegas.
Now, we hear a lot of food claims from friends. Everyone has a favorite place they swear is the one. Usually, we take those recommendations with some healthy skepticism. But this one got our attention for a reason. The friend making the recommendation is from Tijuana, so when he told us this place was worth the stop, we listened.
That was more than enough motivation to finally go see what Tacos Los Barrios was all about for ourselves.
