At the April 6 Henderson County Board of Commissioners meeting, county engineer Marcus Jones presented possible options and potential challenges for adding as many as four solid waste and recycling centers (or convenience centers) across the County.
Henderson County used to have a dump, but it has since filled. That location currently serves as a transfer station, where solid waste is temporarily deposited before being hauled away, County spokesman Mike Morgan explained to the Beacon Tribune.
