1 dead after crash on Hopkins Road in Amherst

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — One person is dead following a three-vehicle crash on Hopkins Road in Amherst on Tuesday, Amherst Police said.

Officers responded to the crash shortly before 6 p.m. Officials said a Ford Mustang that was traveling northbound on Hopkins Road collided head-on with a 2019 Honda Pilot that was driving southbound, and the Honda Pilot was then struck by a 2020 GMC Terrain that was driving southbound.

The driver of the Ford Mustang, a 43-year-old man from Amherst, was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the other vehicles were taken to the Erie County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
