POSEYVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Posey County is now working on new affordable housing projects after a housing study showed the area has more jobs than they do houses.
The housing study shows that nearly half of Posey County’s growing workforce is made up of people commuting from nearby cities because of a lack of local housing.
“There’s major industry, major employers in Posey County. And I think I would say, on average, about 40 percent of them, of employees that are coming into the county, actually live in Posey County.
