Affordable senior housing project at old Melrose High School on track

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Memphis City Council members received an update on the plan to offer affordable housing for seniors at the old Melrose High School during a committee meeting Tuesday.

Council was told the nearly $17 million project is still on track. The developer is working to secure tax credits from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency.

The homes would be available for residents 62 and older at or below 80% of the area median income…
