STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — An 83-year-old woman missing from her West Brighton home since Saturday was found alive Tuesday evening on the grounds of the Snug Harbor Cultural Center following a coordinated community search.
Barbara Martz, a retired school teacher, was found shortly before 7 p.m., about 50 feet from the corner of Kissel and Henderson avenues in a heavily brushed, fenced-in area in West Brighton. It remains unclear how she entered the fenced-in area.
