Lower Saucon gunman threatened police, shot at vehicles, DA says in ruling on the killing

A heavily armed man expressing suicidal thoughts fired numerous rounds at police, striking multiple vehicles during an incident last month where he also threatened law enforcement before he was shot and killed, according to Northampton County District Attorney Stephen Baratta.

In a news release on Wednesday, Baratta announced that the use of deadly force by police was justified because of the threats and the fact that the man had numerous weapons.
