PINSON, Ala. (WIAT) — A man is in custody after he allegedly fired shots at Jefferson County deputies late Monday night.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 11:22 p.m. Monday to the 4000 block of St. John Lane in Pinson to investigate a report of the man allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
At the scene, deputies made contact Triston Wilhite, 39, who then allegedly fired shots at them. Deputies returned fired. Wilhite then fled on foot into the nearby woods…
