Junior Milam Speaks Of Military Experience At Career Fair

Ooltewah, TN — Hunter Middle School’s annual Career Fair recently welcomed a special guest whose life of service left a lasting impression on students. William “Junior” Milam of Henry, a veteran of the Army National Guard, volunteered his time to share his experiences, wisdom, and encouragement with young people preparing to think about their futures.

Milam served 21 years in the Tennessee Army National Guard, including deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. During his military career, he was awarded the Bronze Star, a reflection of his courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to serving his country.

Speaking with students throughout the day, Milam shared personal stories from his years of service and spoke about the importance of discipline, perseverance, and finding purpose in serving something greater than oneself.
