POWELL, Tenn. — A Powell man is suing a Knox County deputy and the sheriff’s office, claiming he was charged with a DUI even though he had not been drinking.
Taylor Skinner’s lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Knoxville. The suit claims Deputy Jacob Moore violated his Fourth Amendment right protecting him against unreasonable searches and seizures. According to Knox County court records, Skinner has no charges filed against him.
According to the lawsuit, Skinner was driving home from the gym just before 1 a.m. on April 11, 2025 on West Emory Road when he was pulled over by Moore.
