TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Toledo Public School (TPS) Board is set to be presented proposed budget cuts Wednesday evening, as part of TPS Transformational Plan 2.0.
The TPS Transformation Planning Committee has been holding public meeting for community input. During these meetings, the committee has been compiling a plan of proposed cuts to make up for the district’s nearly $70 million budget deficit due to a lack of state and federal funding.
During Wednesday’s Transformational Plan Committee meeting, a TPS spokesperson says the group will present district board members with a proposal for cuts. The proposal just serves as recommendations to the board, who must take further action to adopt any, or all of the proposed cuts…
