GLUCKSTADT, Miss. (WJTV) – Gluckstadt police said a student at a local high school ate a non-controlled substance gummy, which resulted in a negative reaction.
The incident occurred at Germantown High School around 12:00 p.m. on April 15, 2026.

Police said the student was evaluated at the scene by emergency services. At the request of the student’s mother, the student was transported by Pafford EMS to a local hospital for further evaluation.
“We encourage parents and students to be mindful of consuming any substances not prescribed or clearly identified, as even non-controlled items can have unexpected effects,” police said. “The safety and well-being of our students remains our top priority.”
