Fight on Kate Street leaves two injured; Albany man faces felony assault charge

Albany, NY (WRGB) — Albany police responding to a report of a stabbing Wednesday night instead found an fight that left two injured and a man facing felony assault and other charges.

Albany Police Department officers were called to Kate Street near Whitehall Road around 8:20 p.m. for reports of a stabbing. After arriving, officers determined a stabbing did not occur.

Police said an fight between two people took place in which a man shattered the driver’s-side window of a vehicle with his fist, causing a cut to his arm. The man was identified as 30-year-old Darrin Brown, police said…
