Transit crimes up 175% this year in Morris Heights; police search for BX36 bus assault suspects

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying two people wanted in connection with a brutal assault on an MTA bus in Morris Heights.

Police say a 32-year-old woman was attacked following a heated argument on board a BX36 bus on March 6. Investigators say the bus was traveling near West 177th Street and West Tremont Avenue around 10 p.m. when the incident happened.
