‘Every name represents a life lived’ | Coroner’s office searching for loved ones of those whose remains have gone unclaimed

INDIANAPOLIS — The Marion County Coroner’s Office is reaching out to family or friends of people whose cremated remains have not been claimed.

The coroner’s office posted a list of 30 individuals who died in 2024 and have had their remains at the office since.

“In our work, every name represents a life lived, a story told, and a person whose life mattered,” the office posted on Facebook Wednesday. “It is our mission to ensure that even in death, no one is left without dignity, recognition, or care.”…
