‘It’s not the time’; EBR school board members oppose upcoming St. George vote

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – East Baton Rouge Parish school board members are opposing the city of St. George breaking away to create its own school system, citing financial costs.

School board member Cliff Lewis said the separation would result in $93.7 million in total losses based on taxes alone.

Board member Dadrius Lanus said 20% of jobs would be affected, too…
