SOUTH SHORE — After a slate of Walgreens closures in South Shore over the last two years, a competing pharmacy chain will open in the neighborhood this year.
CVS will open one of its first pharmacy-only locations in Chicago on 71st Street by the end of the year, spokesperson Roslyn Guarino confirmed to Block Club this week. The store will feature a full-service pharmacy and a selection of over-the-counter products for sale, company officials said.
