Heart screenings at North Eugene High prompt dozens to seek follow-up care

EUGENE, Ore. — There is a renewed effort to restore health in children and teens after a February event held by PeaceHealth volunteers in collaboration with North Eugene High School to give free heart screenings to nearly 100 students. Almost half of them received some news that was eye-opening.

Imagine you’re in high school getting a heart screening at North Eugene’s Teen Health and you and 40 other students are flagged for abnormalities. That’s what happened at the event.
