A Whittier man who narrowly escaped serious injury or death when a large chunk of ice came crashing through his ceiling earlier this week is speaking out about the frightening ordeal.
The April 14 incident happened just before 11:30 a.m. at Yudier Grau’s Whittier home, which just so happens to sit underneath a flight path into Los Angeles International Airport.
Grau told KTLA’s Carlos Saucedo in Spanish that at first, he thought a gas line had ruptured and exploded, prompting him to immediately run outside.
