Babysitter Sting Lands Huntington Beach Child Molester 93 Years to Life

A Huntington Beach man is facing what amounts to a life sentence after a jury found he repeatedly targeted young children, authorities said. On Wednesday, a judge ordered him to serve more than 93 years to life in prison. Prosecutors say he recruited women to babysit children as young as 4, then set up motel meetings where he assaulted them. Esparza, was convicted on 13 felony counts related to child sexual abuse and attempted assaults, CBS Los Angeles reported. Prosecutors told jurors Esparza used babysitting arrangements as a pipeline to reach young victims, with his contacts stretching into Long Beach and Fullerton, the outlet noted.
